Top 10 Government Agencies to work for

Top 10 Government Agencies to Work For

The Office of Personnel Management released results of its 2008 Federal Human Capital Survey this afternoon. More than 210,000 workers participated in the survey. Ninety-one percent said the work they do is important and 84 percent said they like what they do. Since 2002, OPM has surveyed federal employees to gauge their attitudes in four areas: leadership and knowledge management, results-oriented performance culture; talent management; and job satisfaction. The survey identified the top 10 agencies in each of those categories. When it comes to job satisfaction, the top 10 are:

  1. Nuclear Regulatory Commission
  2. Office of Management and Budget
  3. National Science Foundation
  4. NASA
  5. State Department
  6. Agency for International Development
  7. Social Security Administration
  8. Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency
  9. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
  10. Justice Department

The survey can be found here.
